Issuance of an Agency Liquor Store License/Proximity to a Church

Pursuant to Title 28-A M.R.S. §§ 351(1)(A) and 654, the Bureau of Alcoholic Beverages and Lottery Operations, Division of Liquor Licensing and Enforcement (“the Bureau“) must hold a public hearing before issuing an agency liquor store license to an establishment located within 300 feet of a church, chapel, parish house, or secondary school.

The Bureau will conduct a public hearing on the issuance of an agency liquor store license to Buck’s Harbor Market, located at 6 Cornfield Hill Road, Brooksville, Maine, which is located within 300 feet of Brooksville Methodist Church, located at 313 Coastal Road, Route 175, Brooksville, Maine. Testimony from the public may be taken relative to those considerations for licensure set forth in 28-A M.R.S. § 654. The public hearing will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at the Brooksville Town Office in the Conference Room.
